June 4-10, 2022 (grades 7-10)

$1850 (includes housing, admission fees, meals, and transportation to and around Santa Fe)

Immerse yourself in the rich art world of this special, historic city and the surrounding area. Stay in an airbnb with plenty of space both indoors and out for creating art. Visit art studios, artists and exhibits selected to inspire your own creative vision. Spend a day in nature, an evening under the stars, an afternoon in an old adobe village. And make your own art inspired by all you see at our Santa Fe home studio! Payment Details + Cancellation Policy

Art Away: Santa Fe,  June 4-10, 2022

  • $500 deposit is required to reserve a space
  • Payment in full due by April 16, 2022

Cancellation Policy:

  • more than 90 days – 100%
  • 61-90 days – 100%, less $500 deposit
  • 60 days or less – no refund, but 50% of trip cost may be applied for credit for a future trip.

Week’s Theme: Look at connections between traditional and contemporary art:

  • ​Two New Mexican Painters: Georgia O’Keefe and Ciel Bergman (O’Keefe Museum and Center for Contemporary Art)
  • Native American Art: (Museum of Indian Arts and Culture and Museum of Contemporary Native Arts)
  • Crafts: (Folk Art Museum and Tansey Contemporary Gallery)
  • Installation Art: (Site Santa Fe and Meow Wolf)

Saturday
Meet at 9am in Boulder and drive to Santa Fe. Arrive by 5:00 pm.

Sunday 
Visit The Center for Contemporary Art (Ciel Berman exhibit)
Explore Indian market at Santa Fe Square home early
Studio time, dinner at home and board games

Monday
Visit O’Keefe Museum and Loretto Chapel
Lunch at home and studio time
Meow Wolf and dinner out at Tortilla Flats
Tuesday
Morning at home with studio time
Afternoon visit Folk Art Museum
Return to Meow Wolf to meet and talk with an artist on staff
Home for dinner, watch video on Frank Buffalo Hyde
Wednesday
Artist talk and tour of IAIA (Institute of American Indian Arts)
Museum of Indian Arts & Culture (Frank Buffalo Hyde)
Dinner at home and movie
Thursday
Morning studio time
Afternoon explore galleries on and around Canyon Road
Dinner at home, free time to read, work in sketchbooks, play board games
Friday
Site Santa Fe – private tour of “Brave New World” Installation
Studio visit: Deeda Hull, book artist
Dinner at home

Saturday
Drive back to Boulder. Home by 4:30pm
