Scraps to Sculpture

Dig into Page’s endless collection of gears, tubes, wire and awesome stuff turn and turn it into a dragon, spaceship or whatever comes to mind!
Painting in the Spring! ages 8-10
Tuesdays, April 7, 14, 21, 4:30-6:00
In this playful and imaginative class, kids will explore the art of creating abstract forms using wire and stretchable nylon fabric (pantyhose!). Students will bend, twist, and shape wire into dynamic frameworks, upon which they will stretch the nylon fabric. The final step will be to to add color, texture with paint. Along the way, they’ll learn basic sculpture techniques, experiment with balance and negative space, and discover how abstract art can express ideas, emotions, and energy in three dimensions.

Clay Workshops
Kid’s Clay: Jan 24, March 28, May 9
ages 7-11, 1:00-3:30 pm
Join us for an afternoon of clay! Find inspiration in our monthly theme or choose your own direction. Jill provides ideas and technical help as needed. After making your art, we’ll take a break outside before returning to the studio to glaze our work. Pieces will be fired and ready for pick up within three weeks.
$50/session Register (choose dates at registration)
Family Clay: Feb 28, April 11
ages 5 – adult, 9:00-11:30 am
Join us for a morning of clay with family and friends. Find inspiration in our monthly theme or choose your own direction. Jill will provide ideas and technical help as needed. After making your art, we’ll play outside and will return to the studio to glaze. Pieces will be fired and ready for pick up within 3 weeks.
$100 for 2 family members. $45 per each additional family member
