All About Animals Class

From weaving to painting, spend a week creating a world of animals both real and imaginary along side other animal lovers.

summer camp series all about animals

July 20-24 ages 8-12 9:00 – 3:00

$550

This is a week for animal and art lovers!

Throughout the week you will create drawings and paintings of  your favorite animals while bringing them to life-like form using  yarn, felt, wool, and fabric. You will  learn how to work with different animal fibers (like wool and silk) in fun, approachable projects: felting soft creatures, simple weaving, dyeing fibers, and creating textured artwork. We guide each step so beginners can succeed, while experienced artists can add their own ideas and details.  This is an active studio week in which campers move between drawing, painting, and building.

Families are invited to our Friday art show and celebration.

No experience necessary. Teachers provide step-by-step help and individual support.

Great for kids who:

• love animals
• enjoy crafts and hands-on projects
• like texture and building
• prefer variety rather than one long project
• may feel unsure about drawing but like making things

Campers go home with:

• animal drawings and paintings
• a handmade felt or fiber creature
• woven or dyed fiber artwork
• sketchbook studies and experiments
