Why art for kids? Oh my, where do we even begin! When kids make art, something kind of magical happens – they figure out who they are, what they feel, and what they’re capable of. They make messes, make choices, and make things they’re genuinely proud of. Art gives children a space that’s entirely their own, where there’s no wrong answer and every attempt counts. It grows with them, meets them where they are, and quietly builds the kind of confidence that shows up everywhere else in their lives.
Our after school art classes will start up again in September. In the meantime, check out our Summer Art Camp schedule – we have a camp for everyone!
Our after school art and clay classes are for curious kids who love to explore ideas, materials & processes. Age groups are guidelines only – we have wiggle room for busy families!

My daughter started attending Open Window Studio at 7 years old, and has continued to take after school classes and enjoy summer camps. She loves art and was encouraged by Page to create her own art. I can’t say enough about the engaging hands-on instruction and mentoring she has received. We are absolutely thrilled watching her artistic abilities blossom and seeing her grow confidant as an artist and a person.
Jan 24 (Saturday), March 29 (Sunday), May 9 (Saturday) ages 7-11, 1:00-3:30 pm
Get hands-on with clay, sculpt something amazing, then glaze your piece and take home real fired ceramic art!
Feb 28 and April 11
ages 5 – adult, 9:00-11:30 am
A fun morning of clay with family and friends, with a monthly theme for inspiration, glazing, and firing included with pickup within three weeks.
Tuesdays, April 7, 14, 21, 4:30-6:00, ages 7-11
Celebrate spring by painting the outdoors on large paper and fabric with tempera and paint sticks — your creations might even become kites, banners, or flags!

Dive into a treasure trove of gears, tubes, wire, and more to build your wildest imaginings — dragons, spaceships, or anything your mind can dream up!
